If you enjoy feasting on delicious food and sipping wine, save the date for the Austin Food & Wine Festival. It takes place April 28-30, and features top chefs, winemakers, and sommeliers from across the country.
Depending on the day, some of what you can see and do includes:
Lone Star Nights
Lone Star Nights kicks off the festival with a fun journey around the world. Chefs from Texas will prepare their interpretation of night market cuisine that visitors can sample while enjoying a glass of wine.
Rock Your Taco Showdown
Sit back and watch as some of the country's best chefs go head-to-head as they prepare innovative taco creations. You can sample each taco as you listen to live music and sip a cocktail or wine.
The Chef Showcase is one of the festival's most popular events, and it features top chefs from Austin and central Texas who will serve samples of the classic dishes for which they are well-known. Chefs include Taylor Chambers, Daniela Herrera, and Kevin Williamson.
Spanning more than 25,000 square feet, the Grand Taste Pavilion showcases over forty food artisans and fifty beverages from across the United States. Visitors are encouraged to mingle with the culinary exhibitors and other guests as they eat and drink their way through the event.
