Residents of Sur512 apartments should pencil in a trip to the St. Elmo Brewing Co. on December 3rd for their grand opening celebration. The new brewery is located at 440 E. St. Elmos Road in South Austin's creative district, The Yard.
Founders Bryan Winslow and Tim Bullock are no strangers to the art of crafting a delicious brew. After winning several awards for Austin Beerworks at the Great American Beer Festival in 2012 and 2013, the duo had dreams of opening a brewery of their own. “I had, not-so-secretly, been planning my own brewery since I started at Austin Beerworks. I decided from day one to learn every single aspect about how beer is made,” said Winslow. "The St. Elmo neighborhood was the goal from the beginning. It is so unique and ripe with opportunity.”
The St. Elmo brewery is a large space with indoor seating, a 22ft. handmade bar and a 15 barrel in-house brewing system. The brewery will also partner with food truck Soursop six days a week and offer live music for patrons to enjoy. There will also be events that include music, storytelling, and brewer panels.
There will be three constant brews with rotating selections, including kettle sours, saisons, lagers, and more, based on availability and demand. If you're in the mood for something other than beer, St. Elmo's will offer coffee, a house-made mineral water, and house-made soda.
Come enjoy the live music, screen printing, exclusive t-shirt designs and more at the grand opening party!Back to Blog List
