Take A Yoga Class In Austin

Yoga is a great form of exercise as it reduces stress, improves posture, and increases concentration.

If you would like to try yoga or enhance your skills, there are several great studios near Sur512 Apartments that offer classes for all abilities. They include:

Yoga Yoga

Just eight minutes away, Yoga Yoga was founded in 1997 by Mehtab and Guru Karam. Mehtab states that "Yoga is not about touching your toes. It's about opening your heart." Guests will enjoy working out in a laid-back environment with knowledgeable instructors, and classes include Hatha Flow, Vinyasa, and Kundalini of Sound. The studio also offers children's yoga for those between the ages of five and eleven.

Sanctuary Yoga

Sanctuary Yoga is the city's only non-profit yoga studio. According to its website, it's a space to be who you are, as you are - a space that invites complete authenticity, a space that nurtures, inspires, and renews. Proceeds from each class benefit the Amala Foundation's youth programs, and classes include Morning Flow, Candlelight Restorative, and Slow Flow.

Black Swan Yoga

Voted "Best Yoga in Austin" four straight years by the Austin Chronicle and Austin Fit Magazine, Black Swan Yoga offers drop in classes by donation or memberships for $88 a month. The instructors are known for providing a unique workout with upbeat music and luminous lighting, and classes include Beginner, Flow, and Hot Onnit. Hot Onnit uses steel bells and maces to provide higher resistance than what's offered in normal body weight classes.
