Meyer's Elgin Sausage
In the late 1800s, Henry Meyer came to the United States from Germany. He brought his recipe for smoked sausage, and around 1915, he shared how to make it with his son R.G. It quickly became a hit with R.G's friends, and eventually they convinced him to open Meyer's Elgin Sausage. Today, the company is run by the family's fourth generation, and the sausages are made with a special blend of spices.
